Hay chaff cutter

The Hay chaff cutter mainly uses rotating blades to cut hay. The power system drives the main shaft equipped with movable blades to rotate at a high speed. The composition structure of the Hay chaff cutter:

Feed Inlet: It is the entrance for hay to enter the cutter. It is usually designed with a certain width and shape to facilitate the smooth entry of hay. Some feed inlets may also be equipped with conveying devices, such as conveyor belts or screw pushers, which can feed the hay into the machine more efficiently.

Cutting Device: It is the core component and consists of movable blades and fixed blades. The movable blades are installed on the rotating shaft, and the fixed blades are fixed on the machine casing. Through the relative movement of the movable blades and the fixed blades, the hay is cut into small pieces. In addition, some cutters may also have a shredding device, which can further process the cut hay to make it softer.

Power System: It provides power for the cutter. Common types include electric motors, diesel engines, or connection with the power take-off shaft of a tractor. The power system transmits power to the main shaft of the cutting device through transmission devices such as belts, chains or gears, making it rotate at a high speed.

Discharge Outlet: It is located on one side or below the machine, and the cut hay is discharged from here. The position and shape of the discharge outlet are designed to facilitate the smooth discharge of hay and can be connected to subsequent collection or conveying equipment.

Operation Precautions:

Material Preparation: Ensure that the hay entering the cutter is clean and free of debris. Avoid hard objects such as metals and stones from entering the machine to prevent damage to the blades and other components. At the same time, the humidity of the hay should be moderate. Hay that is too wet may affect the cutting effect and even cause the machine to be blocked.

Correct Startup and Shutdown: Before starting, check whether all components are normal first. Then start the machine without load. After the machine runs stably, gradually add hay for cutting. When shutting down, stop feeding first, let the machine cut and discharge all the hay inside, and then turn off the power supply or stop the power supply.

Equipment Inspection: During the operation of the machine, pay attention to observing the operation status of the machine, such as sound and vibration. If there is any abnormality, stop the machine immediately for inspection. At the same time, regularly check the wear condition of the blades, and sharpen or replace the blades in time to ensure the cutting effect.
